CYDA Extends Financial Support to Flood-Affected Families in Cox’s Bazar
Baiddyapara, Islampur Union, Eidgaon: July 15, 2026
As part of its ongoing flood response and rehabilitation efforts, the Community Youth Development Awareness (CYDA) has provided cash assistance to some of the most severely flood-affected families in Baiddyapara, Islampur Union, Eidgaon, Cox’s Bazar.
During the field visit, CYDA Founder Arkanul Islam Rian met with affected families to better understand their current needs.
He said: “Today, we visited many households. Most of them told us that they have received enough emergency relief, but what they urgently need now are financial support and materials to repair their damaged homes. Supporting their rehabilitation has now become the need of the hour.”
He also shared that the team identified three particularly vulnerable families whose primary breadwinners went missing while fishing at sea and never returned. For the past three years, these families have been struggling to survive. The mothers are finding it extremely difficult to provide even two meals a day for their children, making education an even more distant dream.
CYDA emphasized that while emergency relief is essential, long-term rehabilitation and livelihood support are equally important to help affected families rebuild their lives with dignity.
